WHY WE SHOULDN'T MANIFEST OR USE THE ENERGY OF AN ECLIPSE IN A RITUAL.
For a lunar or solar eclipse to occur, the moon must be close to the North Node or the South node. They are not planets but points representing the intersection of the lunar and terrestrial orbits.
In astrology, these two nodes represent Karma. The North Node represents the lessons you must learn, the evolution towards which you must strive. The South Node represents the lessons you should learn from your previous life, which you should not duplicate.
These energies are both very potent and it would be very dangerous or even impossible to control or attempt to manipulate karmic energy.
What to do then? Nothing. Sometimes the best is to do nothing. And if you still want to enjoy this full moon, here is a list of activities that should suffice:
Eclipses are exhausting. So why not take the opportunity to do nothing and give your body the rest it needs.
Eclipses bring out a whole lot of intense emotions. These same emotions sometimes trigger an overwhelming flood of thoughts. So even if meditation is not necessarily silent in terms of thoughts, it allows you to learn to contemplate them without being emotionally involved.
Don't you know the meaning of your North / South node? What if you took the opportunity to learn more about your own karma?
An easy and impactful exercise would be to take the time to learn about your North / South node and write about the karmic lessons that you are aware of and those that you still have things to learn from.
Dance eases the physical tensions that this lunar energy could make you feel. So move, shake, jump and let go.
If you want a little movement without moving all over the place, stretching and yoga are great alternatives. They allow you to refocus and reconnect with yourself while remaining active.
Breathing is something that humans do unconsciously. Breathwork is conscious breathing that allows you (among other things) to purge yourself of your emotional blockages on a mental and physical level.
And if you feel like it, you can always do the whole list.
